I am a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist Lic # LMFT 100372, in California. I am governed by the laws of the State of California and the rules and regulations promulgated by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences pertaining to Marriage and Family Therapists. I earned my Master Degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage, Family Therapy from The California Graduate Institute of the Chicago School of Professional Psychology & I am a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT). I have 20 years of experience in the Mental Health Field. Based in Irvine, I operate a private practice. With background in working with individuals, families, and children,I have extensive experience. I spent four years at Human Options, providing counseling for domestic violence survivors & provided relaxation and meditation, group therapy for adults, & experienced working with multicultural. I provide therapy services to my clients in both English and Farsi languages.

The counseling approach that I use is best described as integrative psychotherapy. I use a combination of various therapeutic strategies and skills depending upon a client’s unique challenges. I have experience in applying many orientations such as Jungian, family systems, object relations, psychodynamic, and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). I have presented at conferences and to general audiences speaking on the topics of ancient mythology, archetypal psychology, and related to Jungian psychology. I believe in clinical work, and in one’s own journey, it is useful to study mythic stories for hope, and the tail is providing hints on dealing with difficult transitions.
